About BCS
Berkeley China Summit (or “BCS”), founded in 2016, holds an annual summit and speaker series featuring high-level discussions about the latest discoveries, trends, and cross-border opportunities. Our mission is to encourage bilateral discussion and collaboration between the US and China, past topics include education, healthcare, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
Over the past 6 years, we have invited over 150 high-profile speakers, including Nobel Laureates Eric Betzig (2014), Randy Schekman (2013), and Turing Award Winners Richard Karp (1985), David Patterson (2017), and John Hennessy (2017).
BCS is affiliated with the CAA Chinese Chapter at UC Berkeley, one of the oldest chapters in the organization. With roots in the Chinese Student Club formed over a century ago to support ethnic Chinese students, the CAA Chinese Chapter continues to build bridges and promote understanding.
