About BCS

The Berkeley China-US Summit (BCS) was established in 2016 as a large-scale summit event held on the Berkeley campus. The summit is committed to promoting bilateral communication and cooperation between China and the United States. The content includes showing the latest developments between China and the United States on hot topics such as technology, entrepreneurship, environment, education, etc., connecting Chinese and American scholars and enterprises, and enhancing the learning of both sides in various fields, so as to provide Berkeley students and employees in China and the United States. More opportunities for exchanges and high-quality resource docking platforms to further promote Sino-US relations.

BCS 2022 Overview

In 2022, the continuation of the epidemic and the turbulent international situation delayed the recovery of the global market economy. The situation in Russia and Ukraine caused unexpected factors such as rising global oil prices and political changes in Europe that exceeded expectations. The struggle between major powers brought complex changes and unknowns. Behind the changes and unknowns, a large number of industry changes and innovation opportunities have emerged. The economic downturn and the pressure of layoffs have made people pay more attention to emerging technologies and entrepreneurial opportunities, and rising oil prices have made society pay more attention to the carbon-neutral agenda and environmental protection. What is the long-term development direction of China and the United States? How to better promote cross-industry collaborative development and innovation drive? How to achieve win-win cooperation in a severe environment?

The 7th Berkeley China-U.S. Summit will meet you on October 1st on the Berkeley campus. We are fortunate to invite heavyweight guests from all walks of life in China and the United States, through a combination of keynote speeches and symposiums, to gain insight into the present, explore the unknown, and look forward to the future with you. The summit also features an interactive session, allowing the audience to have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the guests and discuss their insights with them.
